Your progress stays on your device

What we store

To remember your answers, today’s progress and your museum, the game saves a small record in your browser’s local storage. It contains the editions you played, the answers you chose, your scores and the discoveries you unlocked. It never contains your name, email or any other personal details.

This record stays on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing or switching devices will remove or hide your progress — we can’t restore it.

Accounts and cookies

There are no accounts. History Unlocked does not set cookies.

Analytics

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics so we know roughly how many people play. It uses no cookies and doesn’t follow you across sites. We only see totals: how many visitors and page views each page gets, and broad details such as country, browser, device type and the site that linked to us. Vercel processes this data under its own privacy policy.

Your answers, score and museum stay in your browser and are never sent to us or to Vercel.

Hosting

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages may process technical information such as your IP address to respond to requests. The site is hosted on Vercel, which handles that request data under its own privacy policy.

Feedback

The feedback form on the About page sends your message, plus your email address if you choose to add one, to our inbox (history.unlockedkm@gmail.com). It is delivered by Resend, an email service that processes it under its own privacy policy. We don’t store messages on this website. To limit spam, the server briefly counts recent messages per IP address, in memory only. Nothing about your game progress is attached.

If the form isn’t available, the feedback link opens an email in your own mail app instead, and we only see what you choose to send.
